The Federal Reserve Bank, also known as the Fed, is a private company. The company stock is owned by anonymous people who have control over our economy. The Congress is the only institution who can implement any sort of system to regulate the Fed. There is currently no oversight of what the Fed actually does. Some numbers are voluntarily given, however, the Fed can join agreements with other countries secretly. They can also loan money without releasing what the collateral is.

Ever since the bank crash last September, the Federal Reserve Bank has doubled the amount of dollars in print. Since we have left the printers of our currency to print freely, they are doing so. This is a form of inflation. It will not strike the people right away, rather, it takes a while for that cash to trickle down to the population.

In order for us to make better decisions in our financial actions, we must be able to see what the Fed is doing. Currently, their reason for no auditting is to stay away from political influence. They control every sector of our economy through manipulating interest rates (which are presently way too low), anonymously buying US Bonds (to maintain value of the dollar), printing our money out of thin air, etc. The Federal Reserve Bank does not care that the people have somewhat of a voice through our political figures. Yet, they do not want to be under the scrutiny of elections. The Fed wants to be in the background, while people sit blissfully and ignorant to whatever actions they take.

Please contact your senators to Co-sponsor S 604 and your Congress Rep about HR 1207. Both of these bills are designed to thoroughly audit the Fed with no restrictions. HR 1207 currently has 238 Co-sponsors, and S 604 only has 1.
